Free Resources for PE Exam and Geotech

There are a few of struggling on finding resources that don't cost us arm and leg.

I pulled the following links that could be helpful.

1. Texas A&M university has a free Video lecture that you can download in all areas. You could use these resources for PE breadth exam. The videos are in real player format and the text is available in pdf format. Don't get put off by the quality of the video; for the content you would have paid a couple of hundred with others.

2. A great new website with video worked problem for PE exam preparation for free is: http://engineeringvideos.net/ It has :

36 - Water Resources

33 - Structural

32 - Geotechnical

12 - Surveying

0 - Construction

21 - Optimization

Question solved on a video format and growing everyday. You can even download the whole thing for free it is about 2GB.

3. The following link from Florida International university has several lectures and solved problems.

Especially the Geotech guys will appreciate the 191 solved problems which is located under

I can't get acces to the "Prieto" pages. Please provide the new web page if they changed it?

I noticed that this link is broken as well. I looked at FIU's website and they do not list Dr Luis Prieto-Portar, PhD, P.E. as a member of the faculty on their page. It is a shame because that website had some great review material.
