I took electrical - power (my did my undergrad in chemical engineering 10+ years ago), first attemp, did not take any review course, spent one week to prepare.
The Wildi book (the 6th Edition of Electrical Machines, Drives, and Power Systems) and NEC2008 handbook are the MUST. Did the NCEES sample problems once.
