All April 2010 PE takers,

If those who have received their results could answer some of the questions below and help others who are still waiting anxiously for their states to post the results. It will also help getting a general idea of the cut-off score.

1. In what state did you appear for your PE?

2. What was your discipline. eg. Civil-Transportation

3. How many questions did you think you answered correctly

4. How many were guesses

5. Did you pass or fail.

Your input is appreciated.

Actually that can't be done. You don't get diagnostics for the pass so really there is only a moderate amount of information you can gleen from a population of the diagnostic reports from fails, but nothing from passes. - there is already a thread discussing diagnostic reports.

So for example:

1. In what state did you appear for your PE?

Washington

2. What was your discipline. eg. Civil-Transportation

Electrical

3. How many questions did you think you answered correctly

75 (I worked the morning session twice and the afternoon session three times)

4. How many were guesses

3-5

5. Did you pass or fail.

Pass

There isn't a way for me to determine if I screwed up a problem I felt confident I had answered correctly since it is only a self assesment.

1. In what state did you appear for your PE?

Colorado

2. What was your discipline. eg. Civil-Transportation

3. How many questions did you think you answered correctly

Likely close to all in morning - 39

37 in afternoon

4. How many were guesses

3 unsure answers and 1 blind guess in afternoon

5. Did you pass or fail.

Pass - wish i knew my score

I'm really surprised so many people were confident they got 70-75 correct! I wasn't anywhere near as confident...

1. NY

2. Mechanical-HVAC

3/4. Morning- 32 Correct, 5 educated guesses, 3 guesses

Afternoon- 20 correct, 15 educated, 5 guesses

5. Passed

The afternoon especially, I kept getting answers in between two of the actual answers (even after re-working them several times) so I just went with my gut. I'd say there were about 8 total questions where I either couldn't find the equations/didn't know how to solve, or I thought I knew what I was doing, but none of my answers were close to the actual answer choices.

3. How many questions did you think you answered correctly? When I didn't pass, I probably got around a 42-45. I would guess I answered around 60 correctly this time.

4. How many were guesses? Didn't really guess out of the blue except on maybe 2-3. Otherwise I probably made around 30 educated guesses.

5. Did you pass or fail? Passed

Your input is appreciated.
