  1. *** The review course for the October 2019 exam starts August 8, 2019. Contact Lina Malechkova at lmalechkova@dmeconsulting-us.com The start date for the next PE (Civil) Review Course (February - April 2017) is February 7, 2017. 1. You are welcome to use either Goswami’s All In One 3rd edition (2015) or Lindeberg’s CERM as your primary reference. 2. The first 10 lectures (out of 21) of the course will be devoted to AM (breadth) topics, and the following 10 lectures will be devoted to the 5 depth areas. Emphasis will be on problem solving in all the sessions. Approximately 20 problems will be discussed in a typical 3-hour session. 3. Lecture 21 will serve as a capstone review session where ‘last minute’ questions from all 5 subject areas will be discussed. This session will also allow us to address queries about the end-of-course practice exam which will be sent out a week before this session. This has the potential to become a student-led session, where the class participants ask questions (either broad subject based, or specific question based), to be addressed by the instructor. 4. The cost to enroll in the 63-hour course is $850, which can be lowered by $100 if registration is completed early. The anticipated start date is Tuesday February 7, 2017 and the last lecture is scheduled for Tuesday April 18, 2017. The deadline for early registration is December 23, 2016. The PE exam is Friday April 21, 2017. 5. Candidates who are unsuccessful in the PE exam (the one administered immediately following the conclusion of the review sessions) are welcome to attend the next course sessions at no xt charge. 6. All lectures are taught by Dr. Indranil Goswami, who has taught the PE Review for over 15 years. In that time, there have been over 350 successes at an overall passing rate of 75% 7. Course delivery is via live online WEBINARS. The meeting time is Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 pm – 9 pm Eastern Standard Time. Lecture 1 is a Tuesday. So is Lecture 21, which is a capstone review. 8. Lectures will be recorded and archived on Google Plus. Lecture videos are uploaded to Google Plus within 2 hours of completion of the live lecture. Lectures are archived for the duration of the course. Never miss a lecture! 9. Approximately 600 pages of course notes (PDF) are shared with students upon registration. With early registration, you can start your personal review ahead of the course start (recommended). 10. Approximately 300 practice problems (PDF). These are organized into 10 sets – one AM and one PM set or each subject. These are also shared with students upon registration. 3. The CIVIL PE Exam just went through a significant reorganization effective from the upcoming April 2015 exam. The breadth exam shifted focus away from some areas. Each depth area syllabus has also changed significantly. Some standards have been added. Others have been updated to different versions. In response to these changes, the content and organization of the PE Review Course taught by Dr. Indranil Goswami is going through a major redesign. The course is still going to be delivered via online webinars and will have a total contact time of 63 hours (21 sessions at 3 hours each) over 10 ½ weeks (2 sessions per week). However, the order of lectures will be reshuffled. The course will start February 3rd, 2015. Early bird deadline ($100 off) for those who register by December 18, 2014. The regular fee is $850. Contact civilpereview@gmail.com for detailed information. Also, the 3rd edition of the All In One Civil PE book is being worked on right now and will be submitted to the publisher by January 2015. The anticipated publication date for the 3rd edition is June/July 2015. The recent changes to the PE exam syllabus will be reflected in the additions and edits to this book. Even though the 3rd edition will not be available for those taking the exam in April, the edits/additions will be reflected in the course notes, which will be revised/reorganized significantly.
  4. The 21 lecture review course for the CIVIL PE EXAM taught by Dr. Indranil Goswami will start Jan 28 2014. Contact indranil.goswami@morgan.edu for more details.
  5. The PE (Civil) Review Course will have a dramatically different structure to it starting with the August-October offering. The start date is August 13, 2013. The noteworthy changes are: 1. You must buy the All In One book on your own. It used to be included as course material, but it is both cheaper and expeditious for the students to order their own copy, should they choose to use it, either as their primary or secondary reference. The cost reduction more than offsets this. 2. Alternate ‘lectures’ are now converted to pure problem solving sessions. These problems will be chosen carefully by the instructor, so as to have the necessary variety and coverage of necessary knowledge areas. Students are encouraged to send in specific questions they want to see discussed. Approximately 30 problems will be discussed in a typical 3-hour session. 3. A capstone session is added at the end of the course (lecture 21) where ‘last minute’ questions from all 5 subject areas will be discussed. This is envisioned as a student-led session, where the class participants are encouraged to ask questions (either broad subject based, or specific question based), to be addressed by the instructor. This addition increases the direct contact time for the course from 60 hours to 63 hours 4. The cost to enroll in the 63-hour course is now $800, which can be further lowered by $100 if registration is completed early (more than 45 days in advance of the start date). The anticipated start date for the October 25, 2013 PE exam is August 13, 2013. The deadline for early registration is June 29, 2013. 5. Candidates who are unsuccessful in the PE exam (the one administered immediately following the conclusion of the review sessions) are welcome to attend the next course sessions at no charge. The features of the highly successful course that remain unchanged are: 1. All lectures taught by Dr. Indranil Goswami, who has taught the PE Review for 12 years. 2. Course delivery is via live online WEBINARS. The meeting time is Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 pm – 9 pm Eastern Time (EDT or EST). Lecture 1 is a Tuesday. So is Lecture 21. 3. Lectures recorded and archived on Google Plus. Lecture videos are uploaded to Google Plus within 12 hours of completion of the live lecture. Never miss a lecture! 4. Approximately 600 pages of course notes (PDF) are shared with students upon registration. So, with early registration, you can start your personal review ahead of the course start. 5. Approximately 300 practice problems (PDF). These are organized into 10 sets – one AM and one PM set or each subject. These are also shared with students upon registration.
