    PPI's SE exam Review Course

I am taking the SE exam in October of this year in Illinois. I wanted to get some feedback on some SE exam review courses. I took PPI's PE exam review course last year and glad I did because it was definitely worth while and plan on taking their SE exam review course. Has anyone taken the PPI SE exam review course? If so, what were your thoughts in preparation for the exam? Mention of any other review courses would be appreciated as well. Happy studying...

Recent reviews of SE prep courses

I took School of PE for the PE exam and I felt very prepared. However, the structures lessons were weak so I'm concerned they may not be the best option for the SE. On the other hand, I go to a fair amount of Tim Mays courses for continuing ed (one of the Kaplan instructors) and really get a lot out of them, but the class time is so much less time. For example 1 hr masonry with Kaplan vs 6-7 hours with School of PE. Anyone have a recent experience to share?

    Looking to buy used textbooks!

Hello, I am beginning to gather necessary study materials for the 16 Hour SE Exam, in October 2015. (A little early, I know!) Unfortunately (and fortunately), during my undergrad/grad degrees, I had a scholarship that required me to return the books after the completion of the course. At this time I am looking to replenish my library! I am looking for textbooks that would come in the most handy while studying for the SE Exam. If you aren't interesting in parting with any of your textbooks, I would settle for suggestions of your favorite textbooks or places to buy used books. Thanks in advance! Hannah

    Hours Studied for SE Exam?

I'm in the process of studying for the SE Exam in October. I'm just curious how many hours people typically study for this exam. I know it's not about the number of hours, but the quality of the studying. It would helpful if you listed the approximate number of hours studied, if you took any actual review course, and if you passed each section. Thanks! It looks like the April SE pass rates went up a lot compared to last October's pass rates. So I'm guessing people are starting to figure out what it takes to pass this new format exam. I attempted to create a Topic Poll for the question. Hopefully it works properly. You should be able to select the range of hours studied, if you used a course, and if you passed or not. Thanks for the help!
  21. I am in CA & planning to take SE exam in Oct. 2013.
