  1. Has anyone used Professional Education Services Company, Ltd. (pescomp.com) before? Just wondering how legit they are. I got an unsolicited email from them about an ethics course. I normally get more than enough opportunity for CEU's/PDH's in a year, but Ohio recently started requiring 2 hrs of Ethics/Rules/Laws per 2-year period and this seems like a cheap and easy way to get them out of the way. Full email: I am writing to let you know of our class on Professional Ethics for Ohio Engineers in addition to the on-line course that we offer The Ohio Board has established a mandatory 2 PDH requirement for ethics training per biennium. The classroom course qualifies for four (4) PDH units and costs $72.00. Classroom Course Friday, May 24, 2019 - 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Independence Civic Center Willow Room 6363 Selig Drive Independence, Ohio 44131 Sign-in starts at 12:30 PM Here is an outline of the course and topics of discussion: Private Property and Free Will Wealth Creation and Productivity Government and Law Intellectual Property Ethical behavior Ohio’s Law Applications Go to www.pescomp.com to register for the course Note that if you are using IE11 then put it in Compatibility Mode to view the site On-line Course We also offer a 2 PDH on-line narrated PowerPoint course which can be taken at your convenience This course costs $12.00. A test is given for the on-line course. A score of 70% is required to get the certificate. The test repeats each time the score is less than 70% with some questions different. The signed certificate is immediately available on-line after successful completion of the test The PowerPoint program runs within the IE11 browser. 2. What are some of your go-to sites for PDH's? I try to get most of mine through conferences, but still seem to have to take a few courses to meet the hour requirements.
  3. As a company that helps thousands of engineers earn their professional license each year, EduMind, our parent company, understands the importance of continuing education and license renewal. EduMind, an International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accredited company, provides a wide variety of continuing education courses for engineers who need to obtain PDH credits for license renewal. EduMind has a course library that contains more than 500 continuing education courses. Visit our course library here.
  4. EB, NCEES has created a tracking tool that allows PEs to track their continuing education requirements. The online tracker also links to your state (s) of license and allows you to submit to your state for renewal. Below is the link for those interested: http://ncees.org/cpc/
