  1. Hello All, A little help would be appreciated on this one. In the Complex Imaginary Test, Morning Session, Question 5 (the one through iBooks) the question asks about the fault current after a switch is thrown. The circuit shows an inductor on the source side of the switch. I went to solve this problem believing that this should be an instantaneous switch (there is no indication components are not ideal) and the fault would also occur immediately following the switch being thrown. I recalled form my basic college courses that current cannot change instantaneously in an inductor. However the answer is given by way of circuit analysis including the downstream resistor. Was this an improper assumption?
  2. I have the following items for sale after passing the PE. All are in almost-new to new condition WITHOUT any marking/writing. Please send PM if interested. If you buy all of them, take 10% off of the total price. Georgia Tech, GE Tech, Course binder ** NEW ** This is the 3-inch binder that comes with the GE Tech Electrical Power PE Preparation Course that I took last year (Note: you will ONLY get the binder with all content in it, but NOT the online course access, which has already expired anyway). The material in this binder covers everything taught in the online course including numerous shortcuts & tricks in solving problems quickly. I found it extremely useful during the exam where it helped me solve at least 9 problems: $250 shipped Graffeo Electrical Power guide to passing the PE ** LIKE NEW ** (https://www.amazon.com/Electrical-Engineers-Guide-Passing-Power/dp/0988187612) $85 shipped Complex Imaginary sets 1-4 complete ** LIKE NEW ** (https://www.amazon.com/Complex-Imaginary-Power-Practice-Exam/dp/1495169596/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1513436340&sr=1-1&keywords=complex+imaginary+power+pe) : $120 shipped SOLD! NCEES Electrical Power Practice Problems ** LIKE NEW ** (https://www.amazon.com/PE-Electrical-Computer-Engineering-Practice/dp/1932613560/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1513436506&sr=1-1&keywords=ncees++PE+electrical) : $25 shipped Complex Imaginary Electrical Drill book: $30 shipped SOLD!
  3. Up for sale are the practice exam materials that I used to study for, and pass, the October 2016 electrical power PE exam. I bought each practice exam brand new from NCEES & Complex Imaginary a few months before the exam and all are in "like-new" condition (did not write on any pages, no torn pages, no highlight marks). I would highly recommend using these or similar practice exams while studying for your exam. I found the difficulty level of the NCEES practice exam to be slightly more representative of the actual exam than the CI material. However, the CI provides more practice problems and will serve as a better overall study guide for the exam. The following items are included for a total price of $150 (I'll cover the cost of UPS shipment). Photos are available upon request. Please feel free to respond to this post, PM, or send me an email with any questions, my email is tgale08@gmail.com. Paypal would be my preferred method of payment. 1. Complex Imaginary Practice Exams - Complete Set (vol. 1-4) (retail $150) 2. Complex Imaginary Electrical Code Drill Book - Based on 2014 version of NEC (retail $30) 3. NCEES - PE Electrical and Computer Practice Exam (retail $39.95)
