  1. I am taking the civil p.e. exam - construction depth in April. I do not truly work in a construction company so I am missing a lot of the reference manuals. I have the steel code and OSHA. I found the MUTCD online. Does anyone have any of the other documents on pdf they could share?
  2. Anyone knows if the classes offered by EET are good? The price looks fair, it has 45 hs of instruction (with 4 hs of exam simulation). Thanks
  3. Have any of you taken the School of PE for the Transportation Depth portion and how well did it prepare you for the exam? I have read one comment saying that it was not enough to prepare for the afternoon, what do you think? What can I do to prepare for the afternoon in addition to the NCEES practice exam and SOPE. Thanks.

  7. As the summer comes and goes, the PE Exam will begin to approach quickly. As a way to get you sharp and keep you that way for the fall Civil PE Exam, a group of engineers including myself have decided to provide a free short webinar covering a special problem each week for the next several weeks. These mini webinars (Mini-nars) will begin on May 22, 2013, and will run each week through the summer. I will personally be instructing the first free ‘Civil Mini-Nar’ on May 22, 2013. This will be the first of a series of weekly Mini-nars hosted by an alliance of several engineers that will cover a short 5-7 minute problem. These are free to the first 20 that show up to the room, and will be viewable on YouTube later. The signup for the PE Mini-Nar is here: May 22 2013 Civil – Construction Problem by Andy Richardson 8:30 EDT Or you can paste this link into your browser: May 29, 2013 Come back later to find out the topic & signup June 5, 2013 Come back later to find out the topic & signup A special thanks to Jim Monroe of and Tim Nelson of for inviting me to join in the fun. What do you think? If you have any questions you would like to cover in the Mini-Nar, then leave a comment here or at our social sites! PS If there is a substantial interest in this, we can upgrade the service, but for now it is first come first serve!
  8. So, I did passed the FE exam here in Alberta and I'm not required to take the PE exam. But I feel I should take it. My question is, how long did you prepare for the Civil PE exam. Any advice on what to take in the PM?
