  1. All, let's try and make @RBHeadge PE life a bit easier. In the past, some states are missed because of too much conversation in the map realease thread that RBHeadge puts together for us each year. Only post the state that you are reporting as "out" and the time/date. Hold discussions on "hoping [insert state] is coming soon" to other threads. Hold notifying of your passing/failing the exam, and also avoid congratulating others (congratulate them on other threads, or through PM, they deserve it!!!!)... it just adds unneeded traffic here. I realize that: by posting this I'm becoming part of the problem... and there is a lot going on with results coming out, and so many are very excited. but please keep this thread on point.

On a related note, I've found that I don't know how to change the color of the box using the "inspect" feature.

My results have come out... but I'm not too sure what a green fail means...
  4. I wanted to give an update to the current state of the NCEES records. I've been in the process of getting my NCEES record started. The two difficult parts of this were 1. getting my references to respond to NCEES and 2. the NCEES approval of my job experience. As far as references go, I found the best method to get your references to respond to the NCEES email was to remind them the kind of professional work you've done with them in the past. "Hi, Jim. Thanks again for being a professional reference for me. Please take a look at the email you've probably received from NCEES. As a reminder, I've worked with you on the Hawaii Water project and the North Dakota government building project. Let me know if you run into any roadblocks" The area I've run into more trouble is getting NCEES to approve my job experience. It's taking 2+ weeks at this time for them to review you work. That means if they have a problem with what you've written, you have to wait another 2+ weeks for them to review it again. Long story short, take your time writing the Tasks and Projects you've using for your job experience. I used projects I worked on to describe the tasks I did at my first job (only 1 year of engineering experience). NCEES did not like that, they don't want any mention of projects in the "Tasks" section. So now its taking 2+ weeks waiting on them to review this job that really doesn't matter as I have 4+ years experience at my current job. Overall I expected to be completed with my NCEES record by now, but it moves much slower than anticipated.
  5. I think my feeling is more self-directed. It wouldn't have even crossed my mind to add PE to my username here before I passed the PE exam. Now if I would have joined after you better believe my name would have been "Snevah PE". But ultimately you are totally right, there is ZERO problem with someone adding it to a username before passing the PE. I mostly had sad feelings for "[username] PE" guy making the decision to take the "PE" off. I just hope he decides to (and can) put it back. Long story short, I agree with you on the usernames etiquette... usernames here don't matter.
  6. Absolutely wait. You cannot represent yourself as a professional engineer without a license. Because the license hasn't been issued you as of yet, just don't even risk it. The difference between a couple days is not a big deal.
  7. Adding credentials after your name is the pinnacle of all the work that was done to accomplish a long-awaited goal. Even on the engineerboards I've seen instances of premature PE usage. There was someone that had the username "[username] PE". They ended up not passing, and then they wanted to take off the "PE" portion of their name. I felt terrible for them. I forgot who it was, but I hope whoever you were you passed this time around, and you put that PE back at the end of your name right where it belongs! It's weird, I've been thinking about them (a person I've never met) since the test in April and pulling for them. This is why I like this community here. /END SAPPY STORY
  8. The WA DOL website now has the recent passing PEs licence numbers up.
  9. Woah... no FE exam results? Is this common?
  10. Hey, out curiosity, does your "fail" results stay on you page even after you pass? Or does it just keep your most recent result?
  11. GREAT WORK! Did you do anything different for this last time around?
  12. How did you do? How are you feeling? Still waiting? You are welcome to share your thoughts.
  13. Troll... or I feel really bad for the man/woman.
  14. Congratulations... officially a PE! Just checked mine and my two other coworkers, nothing yet.
