    Failed FE Exam Diagnotic

Your welcome. The spreadsheet is just to give you and idea on what you should focus your studies. Like Jbone27 PE said NCEES doesn't have definitive scoring guidelines. Good luck on your studies.
  2. You have to use the NCEES practice book. That will your best shot. I just past my FE Exam (in February) it was the one with more similar problems. https://ppi2pass.com/ncees-fe-civil-practice-exam-ncfece.html You can buy it directly from NCEES and it will be only $30

    Failed FE Exam Diagnotic

Hi MB007, I have created an excel spreadsheet to help me understand the scale of the FE on a percentage way. it is a lot people out there that said is 60% on the passing and others say it is 70%. I am not sure. But I will shoot for 70%. I just pass the test two weeks ago and it is a create feeling. Here is yours. I also attached the excel file for your convenience. Failed FE Civil... any recommendations?

    Hi, I been taking on demand videos on PPI and I like the packet they offer with quizzes and other things. I have lost the test several times in the pass very close to your results. I am taking it in few weeks and I will let you. However, I have a spreadsheet that helps me see my percentages on the areas. Here is yours Online - Domestos WC Questions Scale Score 1 Mathematics 8 15 6.5 43.3% 3.47 2 Probability and Statistics 5 15 7.1 47.3% 2.37 3 Computational Tools 4 15 7.2 48.0% 1.92 4 Ethics and Professional Practice 4 15 15 100.0% 4.00 5 Engineering Economics 5 15 9.7 64.7% 3.23 6 Statics 7 15 9 60.0% 4.20 7 Dynamics 5 15 9.9 66.0% 3.30 8 Mechanical of materials 8 15 15 100.0% 8.00 9 Materials 5 15 7.5 50.0% 2.50 10 Fluid Mechanics 5 15 6.1 40.7% 2.03 11 Hydraulics & Hydrologic Systems 8 15 4.3 28.7% 2.29 12 Structural Analysis 6 15 10.4 69.3% 4.16 13 Structural Design 7 15 11 73.3% 5.13 14 Geotechnical Engineering 9 15 8.1 54.0% 4.86 15 Transportation Engineering 9 15 8.7 58.0% 5.22 16 Environmental Engineering 6 15 5.6 37.3% 2.24 17 Construction 5 15 9 60.0% 3.00 18 Surveying 4 15 0 0.0% 0.00 110 56% 61.93 Book1a.xlsx

    Need Advise, FE Civil

Thank you Jbone, I will look into the EET company. I been checking several online course. The ppi2pass have the best reviews but they are very expensive, about $1,700 for the live online class and all the other competitors are an average of $990 for the live online classes. it makes me wonder why are the so expensive. Thank you for replying to my post.

    Need Advise, FE Civil

I need some advise, I had take the FE exam 6 times, 2 times on the old version (paper and pencil). I am a very bad test taker. The third time I didn't study, the fourth time I only focus in the areas that I needed to strength. The other times I studied a lot. I been out of school for 7 years and now I am in a position that I need to pass the FE exam to keep my new job. I have two little kids a one and half year old and a five year old starting kindergarten. I don't really have time, but the last two times. I put my kids to bed and I studied until 1 or 3 o'clock in the morning, go to work full time and do it all over. I did that for 3 months or more. I though that for sure I would pass the test but nooo.. I am very discourage. I am not sure what to do. I attached my last NCEES diagnostic for you option. I want to take a review class. Any suggestions?? 2017_C07_09_Examinee_Diagnostic_1.pdf
  8. Hi all! Just a quick hello and maybe some advise. I am 7 years out of undergrad and have been studying from Lindeburg's FE Civil Review Manual. I did not pass the first attempt, or second or third and I am back at it again now. My job it is on the line and I have to pass the test by July of 2018. I plan to take the test again in January 2018. I cannot take it before due to NCEES restrictions. Does anyone have an online course they recommend? I took the test back on July and the test has change again, 10% of the test is NOT a multiple-choice questions. It has alternative item types, like: Multiple correct—allows examinees to select multiple answers Point and click—requires examinees to click on part of a graphic to answer Drag and drop—requires examinees to click on and drag items to match, sort, rank, or label Fill in the blank—provides a space for examinees to enter a response to the question I am not sure which online course has updated their study guide since July of 2017. Any recommendations? Diana
