    Stopping Sight Distance!
  2. The Running Thread

Thanks, @wyman! I'm going to really try to work on my endurance and speed within this plan. It'll be more running than I'm used to doing on a weekly basis, but probably for the better. That all reminds me, I should probably get a new pair of running shoes... My current ones are on their way out!
  3. The Running Thread

@wyman, I'll be starting a ten week plan for my half at the end of January. It'll be my first time actually following a training plan for a race, so here's to hoping I can stick with it!
  4. NFL 2017

I'm happy seeing Garappolo start for the Niners. Was more sad when seeing Beathard and Hoyer start, so I guess that speaks to your point, Ex.

  15. Happy Christmahannukwanzadan EB!

Hannukah is already over! But happy belated Hannukah to those who celebrated it anyway. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate that holiday. Happy Kwanzaa as well! I'll save my new year's wishes for next week.
  16. It's Friday!!!!

Happy Friday-before-Christmas, everyone! I'm pretty much donezo with the shopping. You shoulda seen me going home yesterday. I was carrying three rather large boxes of different sizes (that thankfully stacked in a way I could manage them all at one, with only minorly feeling like my forearms were going to fall of by the time I got home), a bag full of stuff, and a backpack full of more packages. "Twas an adventure!
  17. Happy birthday, Ken PE!

  20. It's Friday!!!!

It's.... Thursday. But half day tomorrow! Late in the year holiday lunch for my company. Basically means leaving work at noon, going to a nice restaurant, and eating lots of food and drinking lots of wine. Then getting to go home whenever!

  22. Random Topics 3.1

  23. Happy birthday, kf!!

    Hi Grinchy.
  24. I was in this boat a year ago. Congrats on passing the CA specific exams, which are their own separate beasts! If you are looking to up your morning score and are open to taking a review course, I would highly recommend EET. I took both their morning and afternoon modules when I was studying for my third try. Granted, I took the structural depth PE exam all three times I took it, but I thought both modules were excellent in terms of instruction, reference materials, and practice problems. Enough of my plug for EET. If you are averaging 19-23 in the am section, you definitely need to shoot to increase that score. The morning questions (as I'm sure you have realized) are usually less complicated than the afternoon questions in terms of concepts and calculations. Are you perhaps overthinking the questions, especially in specific sub-topics (i.e. like geotech)? I don't know if it will be any comfort to you, but my two first attempts were a 46 and a 45 in the structural depth, and I passed on my third attempt. You seem to be at a better starting point than I was. You will absolutely get this exam this next time! Don't give up. You've got this!
  25. CA New P.E. License Lookup

You don't need to leave the board just because you're a licensed P.E. now...
