    Maryland Exam Information

I took the PE in Maryland. I cannot see how they could possibly justify invalidating the entire states exams. Not only from a monetary issue but from a time issue. Anyone that has really prepared for this exam knows the amount of hours you spend studying. You cannot get that time back. And because the exam is only offered 2x a year it's not like you would be able to retake it without studying again. This was a retake for me and I studied more this time around than last time (by A LOT).
  2. @yellowdoyle where did you find/purchase the NCEES sample exams? From there website I could only order the 2014 one which I've already taken. I've been looking for previous exams, especially of the general morning section.

    There's no turning back now

I too just signed up for the EET WRE Webinar. I've heard so many good things about it here I decided it was worth the $600. This will be my 3rd attempt. The first time I don't think I studied enough/the right information. The 2nd attempt I studied my ASS off and still didn't do well. I think the stress I was putting myself under had a lot to do with it, because I felt ready for the exam and still didn't do well. I was contemplating the Breadth EET course but just realized that it started on 1/3 so I've already missed 3 weeks of it. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it to sign up late or not. I'd be willing to spend the money if it was really going to help. I had looked up the WRE start date and had assumed they all started in February. I just started studying last week for this exam. Any suggestions on ways to study for the AM? I am considering trying to find a tutor as I'm very weak in structural and a few other morning areas.

For those discovering they didn't pass...

I know exactly where you are comign from. This is me to a T - except I took the WRE depth section. Going to *try* not to think about it over the holidays and give it one more go in April.

I think that was my mistake the first time around. I paid a lot of $$ to take the University of Maryland PE exam prep class. And I live 1.5hrs each way from the campus. That was a lot of time spent in the car driving to class every week. I didn't study as much outside of class as I should have so I can't completely blame the course/drive time but I'm not willing to make that commute again.

@Zags12 sorry but what does EET stand for? Maybe I will look into this course for next time. I am WRE depth section as well. But I do mainly pipeline design now so I have very little experience in the other WRE areas in the past 4years.

@Sooner100 I took a course each time so I think that isn't the way to go for me. I almost want to find a tutor for areas I'm weak in but I honestly have no idea how to go about finding if that even exists. Going to start studying again in mid January after the holidays. Hopefully third times the charm because I'm only giving it one more go.

I failed again too. That's twice now. I really don't know where to go from here. I studied A LOT for this exam. And I somehow did way worse than first time. I don't understand. Shouldn't have looked at the result at work.

    Maryland Results!!!!

Thanks for the update! I'm waiting for MD results too...this is my 2nd attempt. Didn't study as much as I should have first go around. Put a lot more effort in this time, but still nervous because I felt the AM was more difficult than first go 'round. Been following everything since after the exam. Can't decide if it's helped me stay somewhat sane or has driven me even more crazy!
