  1. 44. Never increase your mileage more than 10% per week or 5% on a given day. That way you mitigate the risk to your knees.
  2. Has anyone heard of NAFEMS (http://NAFEMS.org) and their Professional Simulation Engineer Certification? What are your thoughts on the group?
  3. I understand now. I was talking about people that list NCEES as their licensing agency under the LinkedIn Licenses and Certifications instead of listing their state board of licensing.
  4. They do review the exam, but they don't give you the license. You can get a perfect score on the exam and not get your PE License if your local licensing board decides you aren't ready or qualified. All NCEES provides is a test that can provide an overall assessment of someone's engineering knowledge. In fact, any state could provide you a license without even taking the PE exam if they had reason to believe it was not needed. The whole reason for the exam is a big CYA.
  5. I don't understand people that put NCEES as their licensing agency on Facebook. All NCEES does is provide a test for you to take. The licensing agency should be your home state's licensing board.
  6. Thanks snobum. I got a little behind yesterday. Your map looks a lot better than mine anyway, haha.
  7. Yeah, I noticed that. Unfortunately, I can't find a map file to use with matplotlib.basemaps that have Alaska and Hawaii.
  8. The nice thing about the second version is that it is all created by a Python script and a text file. Therefore, all I have to do is update the text file, run the script, and save the image. Also, someone later on could use the script if I am not around.
  9. Ok guys, testing out something new. Do you like this map or the other one better?

  16. Well, I can't edit my original post anymore, so here is the newest map: Thursday, May 21 (34 Days): AK KY NH NV WA Friday, May 22 (35 Days): AL IN NC TX UT WI
  17. Yes sir, Mechanical - Thermal and Fluid Systems. First try.
  18. That's funny shit right there.
  19. First try, Mechanical - Thermal and Fluid Systems I started studying in February, but I have been working on my PhD for the last few years in Computational Fluid Dynamics. I feel like that gave me a little bit of an advantage going into the test as I have been immersed in the academic aspects for quite a while. Wishing the rest of you luck in completing your exam.
  20. Why would you wait to look? Get it over with and relieve that stress. You don't want that stuff building up inside and over pressuring....
  21. Check your account on NCEES, mine just posted.
  22. Guys, check your account on NCEES. Mine just switched to PASS. Great Memorial Day Weekend for me. Mechanical Engineering - Thermal and Fluids.
  23. I'm glad somebody got the joke and wasn't too offended.
  24. Wow, that is a talented box...
