  1. Watermelon may or may not have a similar effect depending on the persons probiotic level I would think... ?
  2. Thanks guys. It has definitly made the house a much more empty place.
  3. Not sure if the video will work, but we lost our Rex. VT used to talk to him on the phone and call him sexy Rexy. I'm not going to lie. It was seriously one of the hardest decisions I've ever made in my life, but what do you tell your dog when he can't understand what is happening to him? Ana isn't doing so well, and we applied to adopt at the humane society but it's so hard to not feeling like I'm replacing him. I'm just so worried that after 10 years she needs that sort of companionship. This is twice now in a matter of a year I've had a pet die in my arms. I feel horrid. New video_Medium.mp4
  4. I grew up a Penn State fan and only started cheering for Alabama because Auburn fans are @$$hatts, and couldn't figure out that an orange/blue shirt with the word "Syracuse" on it does not mean it is appropriate to yell "war eagle" at me... plus you can't seem to live here and not have an SEC team to pull for.
  5. I would have to video the whole house, front yard, back yard and garage... but there were definitely tears at the Halloween party
  6. Thanks KF... I signed on just to see this post had a Halloween party last night, me and about 50 of my most closest friends had a blast.
  7. Seared steak with a "I'm an idiot who can't write TIME!" pan sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans Edit- That is hilarious considering I was actually using the correct version of the word, lmbo especially since I get so annoyed with the incorrect usage
  8. I got a $20 check from the linked in debacle, so you never know
  9. Salad, Lasagna, Roll and sweet tea... it was a splurge meal
  10. My old old washer and dryer (the ones left in the NC rental house that got stolen) was in the house when I bought it but didn't work... I ended up using a timing belt from the auto store to fix it temporarily and man did that thing squeal at the start of each cycle, lol
  11. I like their Italian one better. I wish they had a buffet like some of the Krogers though
  12. I'll second jeepforum.com it's saved me a ton of time with the cherokee on stupid crap rather than having to take it in
  13. Speed Queen was the ones that our contractor put in dorms back when I was working at the college... seems to me that a company who provides laundry machines to college students probably knows something about value and durability...
  14. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K1QQ2QI/ref=asc_df_B01K1QQ2QI5125068/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B01K1QQ2QI&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167155690034&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16029422596625008831&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011444&hvtargid=pla-305919867589 I chose mine based on reviews on amazon and other places on the web, it was also 60% off or so on Prime Day IIRC
  15. Yes this is the one I have... there are also some for sure accessories to buy as well if you are going to use it a ton, but it took me a good 7 months before I started to look to get fancy.
  16. yeah, but you can't cook a cheesecake in a smoker, can you?
  17. The instant pot is a pressure cooker combo with multiple functions depending on which model you get. Mines not the newest or best out there but it can seriously do magic, plus it's blue tooth enabled so I can monitor the pot from anywhere in the house. I think mine has 7 functions but I can only think of 6 right now... Rice, Slow cooker, Yogurt, Saute, Steam, and various pre-programed buttons, plus a manual button for pressure cooking. The air fryer is kind of like a counter top convection oven except the space is smaller and the air is moving faster so the foods crisp up like they would have if fried. I've done some pretty awesome 'fried fish' in there and you couldn't tell that there was no oil added (it's not completely oil free because obviously the food has some oils in it, but the basket design lets those drain off for the most part)
  18. Worse, I got it on Amazon Prime day
  19. I've only used the slow cooker for parties to keep food warm since I got the IP... so it does pretty much eliminate the need for it, although some say they like specific things in the slow cooker better.
  20. that depends, are you looking to use it as a slow cooker or cook your slow cooker meals faster? No, I didn't get rid of my slow cooker, while the instant pot does have that setting. I haven't used it or that function or my crockpot since I got it. I have done plenty of soups, stews, pulled port, ribs and roasts in it. For a large roast that would take 6 to 8 hours in the crock pot, you can do it under pressure for 2 to 3 hours. For the sales prices you can find it for, often as low as $60 at places like target I don't think you have to compare it to the Ninja Blender. Just watch for a good deal and it's the same price as a really good slow cooker. The air fryer is seriously a oil-less deep fryer, no other words
  21. ummmm, where do I start? We call it our magic pot, mostly because I can put a full pound of frozen chicken breasts in it and have juicy chicken in under 30 min or so... it is everything that the internet hypes it to be and then some, and I've only explored some things beyond what I used to use my other pressure cooker for. The cheese cake was awesome. I can cook meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans all at the same time in it and in about 35 min. I'm making yogurt in it right now. yes. I love it. Edit- and yes, my air fryer is just as amazing.
  22. Instant Pot Chicken and Zoodles with a red based pesto and a snack pack of green olives.
  23. Well there is another one occurring in 2024 that will be visible in the US again, it's not like they have to wait 38 years... but really, I think it would be cool to go see... cause you know, science
  24. As someone who did not make the decision but our pet died naturally at home a few weeks back, there was guilt and doubt associated with what else could have been done, just something you may want to consider. It sucks big time either way.
  25. I won't lie, I started typing a response but then got distracted by frozen perogies... I have an amazingly unhealthy recipe for what we grew up calling Polish Lasagna... just imagine.... lasagna noodles, buttery onion mashed potatoes, kielbase and cheese all in a baked layered goodness of love... but seriously, this train of thought has reminded me of VTE because we grew up eating the same food called by different names... and let me tell you, cabbage rice and beef rolls whatever you call them and no matter if you cook them in tomato sauce, soup or juice...are the bomb.
