  1. I have spoken with 3-4 different people...sorry, I should have clarified that none of the information I got was through email/letters,,,it was all over the phone...I have them on speed dial...still waiting...not sure whats taking this long.!
  2. Yes, as this one was the first search result that popped up...so I posted to see if anyone would reply... 2 months about sounds right...I have been waiting 7 months already in Illinois. Crappy crappy state board...
  3. I applied last November 2017 and its May 2018 and no decision on Illinois comity application yet. Called today and got told itll take two more months at least..So Nov 2017 to July 2018...9 months to approve an application? Are these guys serious...has anyone else faced such a long approval time?

  5. Came across this thread with a lot of discussion from dejected test takers who are yet to succeed in the exam...I failed the FE and PE multiple times but one saying kept me going and I hope it helps others out to...it said that failure IS an option..what is not an option is giving up.. I allowed myself the room to feel miserable after failing...but gave myself say 'until the next Tuesday' where I told my self I would allow myself to sulk...but Wednesday onwards...Im going to start all over again...when I eventually passed, I realized one major flaw in my preparation for the times I failed...I just did not do enough questions..so my 2 cents are..if you want to pass...hit the questions..HARD. And go tame that beast..if you cant...try and try again ...success will ultimately be yours...I promise.
  6. I got mine in the mail a couple of days ago...almost exactly a month after learning about me passing. It is now with Michaels for a custom frame...excited!
  7. This is just one exam at one point in time...I believe that all this exam does is establish 'Minimum' capability...I would probably not pass this exam next year if I don't study for it and go take the exam cold...what does that tell me? That the only thing the little knowledge we gained to pass the exam tells us is that we still have a LOT more to learn...and like someone above said, getting a PE has made me more modest and aware of my own flaws, and I wish there is never a time when I feel too proud to say "I don't know" to something...
  8. I see...so it varies across states...anyone from Colorado?
  9. I know this might be a bit too eager of me, but I was wondering after how long typically can we lookup our name and obtain our license numbers after passing the PE exam? Folks who have passed prior, do you remember if it long or not?
  10. Passed Control Systems exam ! So relieved this is out of my life...I have a baby on the way you see....I AM A P-E! YAY!!!
  11. School of Hard Knocks (There are no review courses available for the Control Systems Exam!) Control Systems PASS!!!!!!
  12. How did you guys feel about the Control systems PE exam this time in 2016? I felt it was fairly in line with them not asking what we have in our reference books...seemed more experience based to me than number crunching only...I thought it was a pretty tricky exam with a lot of mine fields thrown out away...they made it REALLY easy to pick the wrong answer choice I felt...Also, tons of questions from Liptak...anyway, what did you think?

  14. Which pressure relief reference did you bring? I will plan on getting it too. I too had an entire suitcase but obviously that didnt work out. I have Liptaks books so that is not an issue but I went to the Colombian site you mention and downloaded a couple of other resources - thanks. I know the symbols you are talking about..I know of them and also the ISA standard that contains them...and I also studied zeroing and calibration from two separate texts. Oh well, thanks for your inputs anyway. Much appreciated.
