  1. They coordinate test locations, supply proctors, and administer the test which is provided by NCEES. (I think that NCEES will also perform these services if you pay them to do so, but I'm guessing VA hires PCS because they're cheaper??) nope - NCEES does all that. Per their website: Obtaining and equipping facilities for administration of examinations; Recruiting and training examining teams; Scheduling eligible applicants for examinations; Producing rosters of eligible applicants; Maintaining permanent files for all candidates, making them available for clients upon request; Procuring and providing test materials and related supplies; Maintaining security throughout the entire examination process; Ensuring proper disposition of examination materials, with particular attention paid to security that is required by non-disclosed examinations; Issuing written and oral reports for clients; Providing clients with on-line access to candidate and examination information.

  3. that's funny you mention that. I did not receive any notification either, and called 1 day before the deadline and they were like "Yes, we emailed you 3 weeks ago". I am OCD about my email and never received any email from them. Luckily I made it in time, but not a good way to start. Hopefully tomorrow in the AM we'll be crying or drinking. Haha, I'll be drinking either way....
  4. This is at the top of the Town Hall meeting website: The Town Hall includes all public meetings addressing regulatory policy, including public hearings on proposed regulations. Public meetings not pertaining to regulations can be found on Virginia's Commonwealth Calendar website. I would think any meeting approving PE Licenses would not be a public meeting, thus it would be unlisted on this site. I tried to correlate a meeting with when the results of the Oct. 2011 exam were released and I could not find a meeting that matched up that was on that list either. Per my post #27 "Maybe I'm reading this wrong from this map it looks like they were released on Dec 20th and it shows here they had a meeting on Dec 15th.... " So you think that the 5 day delay is sufficient enough to tie that meeting to the approvals? That could be. I think that meeting is unrelated. I didn't find anything in the meeting notes discussing approval of recent exam results (doesn't mean it wasn't discussed off the record, however, I'd argue that it is official business and has to be on the record). Also, I would think that 5 days is too long between approval and release even if the approval was sent by snail mail back to NCEES/PCS/Magical lawn gnomes/Troll under the bridge with the results. I'm an optimist, I'm hoping for tomorrow, but have my sights set on Friday. Hopefully we'll get them this week. (We are talking about DPOR here, I never actually received any information saying my application to take the test was approved. I only found out because I kept calling over and over and they eventually told me with only a few days left before the registration deadline with PCS.)

  6. possible buuuuuuuuuuuut - Purpose of the meeting To conduct informal fact-finding conference for disciplinary cases Hopefully they killed two birds with one stone?
  7. I wish I were busy today so I'd stop refreshing these pages every few minutes, lol
  8. its possible - or VA doesn't access information there and has to approve them on june 12th! :beat: :beat: :beat: Doesn't the 8th amendment protect us from waiting that long?
  9. It shows who has access...VA is listed under the 'Applicants' section, but not under the 'State Boards' Section: State Boards Arizona Board of Cosmetology Connecticut Engineering/Surveying Delaware Board of Cosmetology and Barbering Delaware Surveying Maryland Engineering Missouri Board of Cosmetology and Barbering New Jersey Engineering/Surveying Pennsylvania Engineering/Surveying Vermont Board of Cosmetolgy and Barbering
  10. PCS log-in page shows that VA Board doesn't have access yet, but New Jersey's and Pennsylvania's board do...so hopefully that means VA is next.
  11. Only exam results show "VA FE EXam Pass" and still shows PE under pending. Where are you seeing this on PCS? I can't find where I even have an exam pending!! After you log into PCS, you'll see Pending Examinations and Exam Results in the bottom center of the page....
  12. I took the test in VA and can see the results this way as well.... Nothing in the Virginia PCS site as of 1:44 pm..... My bad...coworker told me about it, but she was in so much anticipation she mistook the FE result for the PE result...she almost gave me a heart attack, lol Cheesus Crust, you had me going on that one... Sorry, she had me going too...I was frantically trying to remember my PCS password when she told me she screwed up, lol
  13. I've been checking there. The problem is I previously failed so it still says that. I still have a pending examination though. Do you? my predicament as well...... I still have the most recent exam pending.....so my feelings were crushed for a few seconds until I relized that was my first exam result My bad...coworker told me about it, but she was in so much anticipation she mistook the FE result for the PE result...she almost gave me a heart attack, lol
