  1. Thanks knight! Howly cow! I never thought the day would come. The previous design was, what? Like 16 years old? Does this mean that those of us with the previous design now own a "classic"? Worth more money? I don't care if I have to beg, borrow, or steal..... I am getting my paws on one of these new models.
  2. Now that you mention it, I don't think I was able to turn off the one chirp/beep it makes when you start the stop watch. I think you'll be ok.
  3. m_p, you are right about the F91W. Yikes, that kinda blows. I found the watch I used for the exam, in my drawer. It is a Casio DB-36. I'd recommend the DB-36 or: W800H-1AV for $18 or F201WA-1A for $10.50 or W201AV-1AV for $12 or W96H-1BV for $16 There a handful of choices under $20. Good luck!
  4. m_p, I don't remember the model number, sorry. I can try to find it.... I'll think about where I put the watch. I do think it was a Casio though. Does your F91W have a countdown timer? You can set it at 4 hours and have it count down. Do make sure the alarm/beeping is turned off though.
  5. Thanks vip. Anyone, please feel free to PM me if you need any edition CERM index in .pdf.
  6. I wore a very simple digital watch with a stop watch. As soon as they said 'start', I started my stopwatch. All beeping sounds were turned off. It stayed on my wrist. Did this for 8 hr, CA-Seismic, CA-Survey, and FE. I still swear to this day that they called stop exactly one minute early on my CA-Survey Exam. :o/
  7. A great mind for sure. When he was diagnosed with ALS at age 21, I believe, doctors gave him 3 years to live. He lived to 76.
  8. I don't know why everyone is so quick to sell their stuff after they pass. I saved everything. I have used it 1.) to help members here with questions they may have and 2.) to do a little side work of preparing test prep material. I can't say I have used it much for work though.

    LOL. Grave Digger!
  10. Do you know AutoCAD well and it's just the C3D module you are getting accustomed to or are you new to ACAD as well? What type of civil work will you be using C3D for? Check out the built-in tutorials. They are very helpful.
  11. P.S. What's the address and dumpster location of this place of business?
  12. This is an absolutely nightmarishly horrific story! So sorry to hear about your lost loved one u.e. We are all grieving with you. Your pencil is in our thoughts. :virtual hug:
  13. This forum didn't help answer those questions?
  14. There can be some overlap b/t the FE Civil and PE Civil. Just look at the PE Exam test plan and review only those topics listed.
  15. You should probably contact the board and make sure you are still approved and ready to go. Ask if you can simply submit the re-examination form. http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/applicants/re-examination_form.pdf
  16. 1.) Relax. 2.) It is helpful to read the threads in this forum. This was only one or two threads down when you posted:
  17. If I understood correctly, I don't think her issue is with taking the FE or not. Whether she is approved for the FE waiver or she passes the FE... I think her issue/question is about obtaining the proper references for the PE application since most of her supervisors are/were not PEs but are 'exempt'.
  18. I never totally understood exemptions but you can read about them in the PE Act. Maybe that will help answer some of your questions. Also, maybe @CAPLS can help. Good luck.
  19. Forgetting what is "easier", what kind of engineering do you practice now?
