I have seen this more & more - has anyone gotten their BCEE? How was the process? Has it been beneficial at all?

Anything that lists a "who's who" seems like a gimmick to get your money if you ask me.

I see it listed after the names of some higher-ups in the federal government. It used to be called "Diplomate" of environmental engineering, so sometimes you will see a "DEE" after a name on a book or report.
It's probably more valuable for certain types of jobs where additional credentials are important. Certain government career paths, for instance. Which means I'll probably go for it, one day. I'm hoping I can get by without taking an exam - that's an option for people who have a certain # years experience (I think around 17?) and who are supervisors.

Agreed.
And I thought I already was board certified...my state board.

I have seen the DEE representation but it is basically a huge fee driven credential without much benefit IMHO.
Dleg, if you press for the credential let me know. I would be interested in how many hoops you have to jump through.
