Does anyone know if there is a rule of thumb for calculating the equ length of a shut down centrifugul pump. I am doing a gas back flow scenario for a shut down pump to see what the maximum possible gas flow rate is to an atmospheric tank and what percentage of the vapor recovery unit will be needed to absorb this back flow. I realize pump designs differ from manufacturer to manufacturer but not that much, I just need a ball park equ len.
