[SCPE]

This is really not related to the exam but anyway....

When I type engineer boards in Google this is what I get for the description:

"Such as state board websites, engineering sites,etc. Want to post your website, blog, forum, etc, you may post them here. Forum Led by: Moderators ..."

Can we adjust it to provide a better description of the site? The description above really doesn't make sense.

a google web bot made that description. I did not submit one to Google, I don't know if RG did or not.

I also think once I get off my ass and switch to dedicated servers I can make a sitemap and submit to google, assuming I can find someone who knows how to make one of those ....

Funny we dont show up as fast on yahoo, and yahoo is who sold me the domain name...

We actually need a front 'portal' page and it could have alot of the html tags written into it that attract search engine attention. Content within message boards doesn't get up as much.

Every time it's searched for on Google, and this site is clicked on, improves it's ranking.

The number of links pointing to it, and the number of hits after searching for it is what brings it up.

GOOGLEBOMBING: That's how the guys that set up the FAILURE (George W. Bush) google thing did it. They hid links all over popular web pages, then had people hit them. Then as it got up there on the list, the more people that GOOGLE the word Failure and then click on that link, the higher it gets ranked.

Google the word FAILURE and you'll see what I mean.

Have the google bots lately been improving the ability to get ranked higher for the search engines?

If you have the abililty to add text to the "front" page of this forum - you might be able to put it at the bottom (like the scrolling board on top), but just type in everything you can think of that might trigger it to find this site. IT would be at the bottom, and not get in anyone's way - you could even potentially change text style to make it seem "invisible"? Not sure how that would work with skins changing.
