As I wait for results for the State Surveying Exam and the frustration behind the wait, I was reminded of how helpful and nice the staff at the Delaware PE association were. The process was straightforward and easy and whenever you called or emailed, you received an honest and generally quick response. I can say the same for the Ohio Staff as it relates to the PS.

What's everyone's experience with the other state boards (or agencies that the boards hire to run their process)?

MN seemed to be on top of it when I had questions a few years ago. The office personnel that answer the phones were always helpful and would get me into contact with the right person for the questions that I had.

Had some questions about renewal this year and the story is still the same...

I will say the CA board is pretty good. They have improved tremendously over the last few years. There are probably several reasons for that. I suspect it has to do for with the policy changes in the application process (e.g. having you sign up with NCEES) which has reduced their workload thereby making them more accessible.

What I have learned is call the evaluator that is assigned to your last name letter. That way you always speak the the right person. Email works well too. Either way I get a detailed response within 24 hours. No complaints.

See...I don't want to talk about Jersey until after I have my results and licenses...but I know exactly what you're talking about.

VT was pretty helpful. I emailed my NCEES notification and asked what the next step was. She congratulated me and said she would issue a license number and mail it out the next day.

The Secretary of State website is already updated with my name and number.
