My client is offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Process Engineering Manager to further enhance the operational performance of their East Midlands sites. We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of success in both manufacturing excellence and lean implementation into a processing environment. With the ability to alternate between continuous and bespoke processing methods, you will lead a cultural change programme to enhance the fluidity of orders.
Reporting into the Operations Director you will be responsible for leading the sites to deliver against agreed Plant Performance KPIs, Quality, Energy and Process Engineering requirements. You will help identify, implement and deliver all projects leading to cost reductions throughout the Plants.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for high calibre leaders with the following skill sets:
• Ideally educated to Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
• Chartered status is desirable
• Formal qualifications in manufacturing management, engineering, six sigma or lean manufacturing
• Proven experience of improving multiple sites simultaneously is advantageous but not a necessity
• Actively lead the development of new initiatives for increasing production efficiencies and reducing operational costs in the general day to day environment
• Ensure that the Plant energy spend is reduced and annual cost reduction opportunities are maximised
• Leadership and technical people management experience is essential, ideally within a Processing or Engineering environment
• Knowledge of Project & Change Management systems
• High level of PC literacy, able to organise, plan and innovate, exemplary presentation skills
• Knowledge of, and ability to drive 'Lean' manufacturing, production systems and other business improvement techniques
• Ability to communicate with and influence both up, across and down the organisation
