Just paid my $200.. Just to recap, I only need to read the Study Core Concepts Guide right? Anything else??

I'm a broke ass engineer who just graduated and I'd like to keep the cost low. So if you have any free site or any inexpensive book to refer I'd really appreciate it =]

Cheers :winko:

I studied for the LEED AP Neighborhood Development. A few days before the test, I saw there was the whole step of green associate... I passed GA on my first attempt.

I highly suggest the practice exams from GBES:

hmm.. Maybe I'll get it for the AP, but spending $60 for GA Idk...

For GA, did you also go over the core concept? If so do you think it was helpful at all or no??

I didn't study anything for GA. I was told the GA was the AP test minus the calculations (ie only conceptual questions). I was more focused on the AP portion and it paid off.

Since I'm done with the Cali PE now, I am going to go ahead and do the AP BD+C (yes I'm a study whore). Assume the exam is closed book? A month for studying sufficient if you have worked on LEED projects before?

Closed book ........ a month is pretty aggressive in my opinion.

so, instead of taking both separately, should i got ahead just do the combined and study for the AP only?

Just signed up to take the GA (sorry, Green Associate™) exam in April at the behest of my employer, who's also footing the bill. Working primarily in civil/environmental/transportation we have very little use for LEED, though apparently there's some work on the horizon for which we need at least one credentialed person on the team - I realize the GA (sorry, Green Associate™) is more or less a "hey, I know green building stuff & how LEED works" and doesn't carry any weight beyond that, though apparently it fulfills the requirement so... anyway this exam better be some straightforward shizzle, I've got 2 young kids at home so most of my Core Concepts reading will be while sitting on the toilet! (j/k but pretty close)
