Rounding

Good Morning,

April will be my first crack at the PE exam. I am taking the Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering discipline however that has nothing to do with my question. Does the general rule of using 4 significant figures apply to the PE exam? I am concerned that if the correct answer is achieved via rounding and I do not (or vice versa) I may end up with a different answer than I am supposed to or wind up between two answer choices. I only see this being an issue with large numbers like moments of inertia etc..

Or will the answer chocies be such that it wont matter?

Typically (unless there is a very precise, single, theoretical method to obtain the answer) answer choices are well separated - to the tune of 20-30% apart

Soil phase, 4 decimal places, curve geometry, you probably can round 5729.58 up to 5730 and have no issues.
