please post your score (if you got one) so that the cut score can be determined

thank you very much & wish you luck on your next try

whats the point in figuring out the cut score? The next test will be totally different any way. Best thing to do is study and focus on the areas that the diagnostics tell you to focus on.

sorry for being so blunt, but to me finding out how close i was to passing doesn't make it any easier.

I'd like to know, out of simple curiosity.

I got 48/80 Civil - Structural Depth.

I was very surprised I did that well.

The company that sponsored me, subsequently fired me 6 months before the test.

As soon as I found a new job that had nothing to do with Civil Engineering I gave up on studying.

I went ahead and took it to see how it is.

My initial thoughts were "this test is very basic" and had I put in the required time I could have passed.

But in reality the questions I was confident on were the one's I got wrong in the end!

I graduated as a mechanical engineer and I never even looked at any other topics besides Structural, yet those were the 2nd and 3rd highest categories I scored in.

So weird because I was confident on many of the structural questions yet I was not correct.

On the Analysis section I did the best.

My poorest sections were materials and Mechanics of Materials which I guess is an eye opener because as a graduated mechanical engineer I should have nailed those sections.

Oh well enough rambling on.

Is it against Board Policy to post the diagnostic report on here?

There is no point.

I'd be willing to bet this group of test takers were exceptionally prepared and as a result performed well making the cut score fairly steep.

Just speculating and bored at home on a Friday night. Well that and the group of people just all looked so smart when I went to take the test LOL.

anyone else got a higher score than 51/80 & failed?

thank you for those who contribute & good luck on your next exam

1.) Why is this thread CA-specific? Unless you are including the Survey and Seismic (which you can't due to the diagnostic method used by the state), then the 8-hr exam and its cut-score(s) is the same for all states, right?

2.) Unless you specify which Depth Module you took, then a fail score isn't going to help you. All 5 Civil PM disciplines can have their own cut score.

So what was your score (or did you pass)?
