Here's some news that I was not aware of. I passed the April 2014 PE exam and received my license shortly after that. In Alabama, upon passing, you receive 15 PDH right off the bat which meets the annual requirement. What I found out is that, in the first year, not only can you accrue additional hours above and beyond the 15 "freebies" but you can claim up to additional hours all the way back to January 1st of the year you passed your exam. So, in addition to some other PDH worthy classes I've taken in 2014 I can also claim the PDH's I earned as a result of completing the Ga Tech PE prep course. Up to 15 additional PDH's above and beyond are counted as rollover to the following year. I knew about the rollover but I wasn't sure Bama allowed you to do it the first year and I definitely did not know that they would let me claim all the way back to January 1, 2014. Sweet! You might want to check your respective states.
