It looks like they are no longer processing for PE exam...interesting..not that I need it anymore but still interesting

As I eagerly await approval to take the PE in Maryland. I am significantly concerned by this. What exactly is PCS?

^ don't be. This change will actually be in your favor. PCS is a 3rd party testing service that some states contract to administer the exam (as opposed to NCEES directly). Most of the feedback on this board toward PCS is fairly negative. And with good reason too. When results are released by NCEES, they typically go to the state boards for distribution to the examinees. However, if a 3rd party is used (in this case PCS), the results go to that entity instead. Then they claim to "validate" said results which ends up delaying them getting to the examinee (often times by an extra week or more). With no justification of what exactly this "validation" process is. From my experience (as others can attest), there customer service is also poor. Basically they are just a "middle-person" in the process as a whole.

That might be true in general but last cycle PE April 13, PCS surprised everyone by releasing 90% of the states by day 3!
