I don't really understand how they derive 25 gpcd storage requirement in the answer to part b of this question. I'm guessing it involves some sort of very simple linear regression stuff. If anyone can just lay it out for me like a child I'd be appreciative.

OK, I pretty much worked my way around this method of answer and found a different way to answer the question. On page 26-20 of CERM it says storage is required of at least 15 to 20% of daily use. If you use 15% of the cumulative gpcd you get 30 gal/person-day storage. That gets you the answer.

 
Is the answer close enough to the "right" answer so you don't pick a wrong answer?
