Job Description

The Process Engineering Manager will form a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company over the next few years. The individual will be managing a small but dedicated & talented team of cabling process technicians and be focused on the implementation of process improvements across the current manufacturing facility in order to maximise production efficiency and output. They will identify and support automation potential within the current machinery and identify best practice and standardise manufacturing techniques across the board. They will guide and lead the workforce through cost-down initiatives and continuous improvement techniques in order to maximise the level of service for the company's diverse portfolio of customers. As the role is a brand new position, there is significant scope for the right individual to make significant improvements in terms of scrap reduction and increased output within the first few months. The Successful Applicant

The Process Engineering Manager will ideally be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant engineering discipline, although other applicants with significant experience in similar roles with also be considered. The successful applicant will likely have several years of experience within the cable manufacturing industry in a process-related role. A demonstrable track-record of achievement in a results-driven, customer-focused environment is essential. AEI Cables are also very open to discussions with individuals without direct cabling experience who have worked successfully with rubber processing or plastic extrusion environments. Personality-wise, the Process Engineering Manager will be a strong communicator and team player, with the ability to positively influence those from the shop-floor upwards and the capacity to effectively lead, guide and motivate a small team.
