Ok, per afraid's request, I'll squeeze in one more 'quiz' before the Spring '15 exam.

Pay special attention to the wording on this one.

In comparing a conventional 4-way intersection (one lane in each direction) to a roundabout (one lane) how many more diverging conflict points does the conventional intersection have over the roundabout?

A.) 2

B.) 4

C.) 8

D.) 16

I'm going with B.

8 diverging conflicts for a 4-way intersection, while a roundabout only has 4 diverging conflicts.

One lane roundabout--there would be 2 diverges leaving each street, and 2 diverges entering each street.

B) 4

Right, 8 - 4 = 4. Good job guys.

Looks like I made this one too easy...... or are you guys just ultra prepared? :)

Yeah right, like I brought those books or a calculator to work today.

All I've been doing for the past 6 hours is telling stories about my notes being confiscated and how joyous it is to take the PE Exam inside a barn on a hot Spring day.
