Export Control Officer
Would you like to provide export control advice to programmes, ensuring robust control environments, local exports compliance structure and export improvement programmes?? We currently have a vacancy for a Export Control Officer at our site in Scotstoun, Glasgow.
As a Export Control Officer, you will be providing export control advice to programmes, ensuring robust control environment, local exports compliance structure and export improvement programme. You will be responsible for understanding, applying and implementing export control compliance obligations at the business level. You will be ensuring compliance with all company export control policies and procedures and compliance with all applicable export control laws and regulations.
Your main responsibilities as a Export Control Officer will involve:
Leading Export Control Project compliance framework for decomposition and communication into each individual area across the business
Being a key point of contact for day to day advice and guidance within the business on Export Control Regulatory and Procedure requirements
Undertaking the implementation of Export Control policies and procedures in support of the Manager, Export Control in the development of a Business wide Compliance Plan and Delivery Framework
Providing expertise in the audit and assurance process, ensuring that the Compliance Control are being adhered to across all Business sites, Projects and Functions
Undertaking Export Control Investigations in accordance with the mandated requirements of the Group Compliance and Voluntary Disclosure procedure from capture to resolution
Your skills and qualifications:
-Understanding of license regulations – experience of UK regulations is essential, US experience is desirable
-Defence background preferred
-Broad Export control experience
-Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) would be advantageous
