Job Description
Reporting to the R&D Manager, the candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and evaluating new product and/or process designs that meet customer requirements. This is a role for a hardworking Project Engineer who really wants to propel their career forward.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer within Voith you will be required to:
Work in close co-operation with R&D teams, Operations, Sales and Product Management as well as external suppliers and customers within a Global Environment
Manage projects in a timely manner from concept to product launch, according to a structured development process
Develop and maintain Company Intellectual Property
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have the following background and track record:
Demonstrable Project Management experience
Ability to work "hands on" within a technical manufacturing environment
Must take ownership of all aspects of assigned projects, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be well-composed whilst under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude at all times in a demanding, fast-paced environment and must possess excellent organisational, communication and technical report writing skills
Must show the desire and capability to work with and to deal with customers on a face to face basis
Must be capable of leading new product introduction programmes

The Successful Applicant

- Mechanical Engineering degree or HNC/HND equivalent, with proven experience working within a Technical Project Engineering or R&D/Product Development environment
Demonstrable Project Management experience
