Hi folks,

I'm handling a project in California which is a one story 22K+ Ft^2 masonry building.

Quesionts:

1) does California requires such a building designed by a "Structural" engineer or just a PE?

2) where can I find the state bylaws/regulation regarding this issue?

Thank y'all.

This answers all:

http://www.pels.ca.gov/pubs/building_design_auth.pdf

Edit: I guess that I do have a question. Why not ask the sealing engineer what he/she can or can't seal? In my opinion, it is the sealing engineer's responsibility to know whether or not they can seal a particular project. :2cents:
