Estimated at travelling 30,000 MPH... Wonder if that's on impact?

Linkey

Look out Ebay. If I was him, I'd be selling that chunk of rock while the iron is "hot".

Edit... oopps. MPH not MPG.

30,000 MPG that's even better milage than the Europeans can get.

"Chances of being struck by a meteorite are around one in 100 million." I think I'd rather hit the Lotto.

Cool story! More trivial knowledge to add to my annoying-ness,

Chances of being struck by a meteorite are around one in 100 million.
So why aren't more people struck by meteorites across the globe, considering the 6 billion people on this planet?

I remember a statistic in my "Geography of Natural Hazards" class that said, at any time, the odds of a "civilization-ending" asteroid impact was 1000 to 1.

But I have it on good authority that 72.3% of all statistics are made up.

Well if I ever get famous I hope its not for the headline:

"Space Rock hits idiot standing in the wrong place"
