Whoa! Does it make you forget that you're trapped in a tiny space with lots of other people?
Okay, so it's not all that great.

I'm also tracking my flight on flightaware. DL1013 if anyone else wants to track our progress.

They put WiFi on a MD-88? I read somewhere that they were going to start providing access on airliners but I figured it would be reserved for the wide body jets.

I was shocked myself. This is also been the most friendly and helpful flight attendants I've seen in 5 years.

I give credit to the two priests 5 rows in front of me.

Are you driving to AL after you land in ATL?

Edit, I hope for your sake you get on the ground quicly, there's a pretty good line of thunderstorms firing up right now and crossing in to GA.

^My last commercial flight was a flight from Milwaukee to Las Vegas last year. The attendants were pretty friendly on that flight. Of course, I still felt like I was just so much cattle being herded into a little metal tube.....

You need to turn on some porno site and crank up the volume. See what the stewardess says then. When she tells you to cease and desist, tell her it doesn't mention anything about that in the safety brochure or skymiles magazine and that you have the right to watch at a reasonable volume between 9 and 11.

I'll be on a plane tomorrow, blissfully free of any technology that could possibly used for business, with the exception of my GPS device. As long as I don't get stuck next to the fat guy or screaming kid, I'll be all set.

I wish. Of course, this flight was 1 hour late, so I'm sure I'll miss my connection to BHM.

ATL to BHM, 36 minutes.

I feel like a stalker!
There's no sneaking anywhere on an IFR flight plan. Both my wife and my boss use flightaware to keep track of me when I'm traveling. I had to divert to an alternate airport last year due to weather. My cell phone rings 5 minutes after I land with my boss asking me what I was doing in La Crosse Wisconsin.

I'm tracking the one I'll be on at this point tomorrow. It's kinda fun to say, 'At this point tomorrow, I'll be 36,000 feet over XYZ City' or something to that effect.

According to Alaska Airlines, I will be somewhere between Prince Rupert and the Queen Charlotte Islands of BC, likely with a splendid view of the wing.
