Position description. Technical Services is a globally recognized technical knowledge centre within the Services Business of Wärtsilä. Technical Services is providing technical expert services and support to external and internal customers during the life cycle of products and solutions delivered or serviced by Wärtsilä.
We are currently seeking Technical Superintendent Engineers to strengthen our Gas Engine Automation team. Possible work locations are Vaasa or Turku, Finland or Trieste, Italy.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Give expert assistance
-Technical support for internal and external customers
-Support and assist in commissioning and troubleshooting in field
-Software configuration and backup handling
-Give presentations in technical meetings
-Occasional training for internal and external customers
Contribute To Product Improvement
-Create field follow up material
-Participate in field tests
-Create feedback analyses, product reports
-Make product improvements and up-grading/up-ratings
-Conduct field surveys and make failure analysis and root cause analysis
Requirements
Requirements Must have
-A genuine passion for engines and automation and a desire to make a difference
-M.Sc or B.Sc in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering
-Systematic way of working and good analytical and organizing skills
-Understanding the importance of quality
-Good ability to cooperate and communicate with other people
-Good command of English, both oral and written
-Willingness to travel
Considered As Advantage
-Experience in Wecsplorer, WCT and UNITool software tools
-Work experience of UNIC C3 and WECS gas engine installation and troubleshooting
