The current construction depth exam references ACI SP-4 8th edition but I have the 7th edition. Can someone elaborate on any changes from the 7th to 8th edition and would the 7th edition be sufficient for the exam?

I also have access to ACI 347-14 at work which should help. I just cant find ACI SP-4 8th edition without paying full price for it.

Maybe this will help?

What’s new in the latest update? The design recommendations for concrete lateral pressure have been revised to a tabular presentation for a more direct understanding, and the provisions for wind load magnitudes and minimums have been clarified. The chapter on materials has been revised to reflect the changes in many material design specifications and standards used in formwork.

Or this?

Benefits of the 8th Edition include:

- An ACI best-selling document

- Allowable strength design and load and resistance factor design examples

- Updated to current standards

- Chapter problems for classroom study

- 500 modern color photographs

- 150 color illustrations

- Includes ACI 347R-14

I wouldn't worry about it - 7th edition will be fine. Definitely bring ACI 347-14 to the test, you will need that.
