Hi everyone,

I am from CA and also a long time lurker :)  I am glad this forum existed since it's very useful and everyone is friendly.

I am taking the review course Civil PE Surveying Review by Kirk Torossian for CA Survey test in April 2017. Does anyone have experience with the review class and whether TI-89 calculator is allowed on the test?

Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Welcome!

TI-89 is NOT an approved calculator -- presumably because it has a memory bank. See the approved list here: http://ncees.org/exams/calculator/

Also, I'm a mechanical so cannot comment on your review course directly but many Civils here swear by there EET course, if that's of any value.

I believe TI 89 is approved for CA specific exams (Survey and Seismic). But you are correct that TI 89 is not approved for NCEES 8 hour exam.
