[SIZE=12pt]I would appreciate your thoughts regarding a newly developed light metal[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt] which seems to have interesting mechanical properties.[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt] This is due to areas in the material containing carbides of the alloy. [/SIZE]

Diamond nano-particle enhanced metal has expensive written all over it.  I can't think of an application that would possibly use it.

 
Well the government has essentially unlimited funds, so probably.  Even if the application didn't require it.
