Young Frankenstein was probably one his best.  Too bad!  As a kid growing up in the 70s, Gene Wilder was one of my favorites.

Although of all his movies I actually couldn't stand willy wonka- it always creeped me out.

It's fraankensteen

Blazing Saddles is my favorite.  In case you didn't know he was married to Gilda Radner.  What an amazingly talented couple.

He had a great sketch in Woody Allen's "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex" where he was a therapist that falls in love with a sheep.  hysterical.
