New Immigrant Electrical Engineer in USA (FE Exam-EIT vs Masters in EE)

Either route would help. For FE & PE I would suggest you contact NCEES to find out qualifications for sitting in PE exam with overseas education and experience. A few states (Maryland is one of those, or at least used to) would grant FE waiver (i.e. allowing you to take the PE without FE) but...

Recent grad, trying to understand corporate culture, Seeking advice

Look elsewhere if you don't fit in with the corporate culture. Not all companies are the same. Learn about the company through the interview process and through their messages on social media. Company and/or client culture is just as important as the job itself.

New Immigrant Electrical Engineer in USA (FE Exam-EIT vs Masters in EE)

I am afraid your BSEE won't be recognized/accredited in the US. I have a friend who was in similar situation and he took an electrician job and later progressed into a plant engineer/PM role. Good luck! (not sure if EIT/FE would help - it might be even more difficult if you have been out of...

How difficult would it be to re-enter the workforce after a 7ish year gap in employment?

Traditional engineering disciplines are lower-paid but are more resilient than other tech-driven fields in which you would risk being obsolete if you sit out too long. Stay in tune with your field, keep your PE active with CEUs (I use ez-pdh) and you should be fine when ready to re-enter the...

Journey to acquire a PE License

Many EACs are now hiring engineers with work remote arrangement. You might want to consider that. Feel free to reach out if you need help. I used to work for one of the largest and have connections. For personal growth and for getting the PE, don't stay too long with one company. You need...

    Low salary offers

Are you still looking. Candidates with your background (LV/MV, ITS, SCADA, FA/FP and a PE) would be walking on water where I am. The job market is very strange and polarized. Jobs demand is high in some areas but extremely hard to fill due to high COL. Some popular states (CA, TX) are...

Looking for advice on which PE Exam to take (& when)

I would probably study for both and go from there. Having a PE in either field on resume is a plus. Good luck with your exam preparation!

    Career Change after PE licensure

I'd keep up with CE credits in electrical to maintain the electrical PE. Some general CEs (such as state mandated ethics or contracting courses might be applicable to all fields and certain will be useful in transportation as well.
